Dave Poppleton
President and CEO
After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dave embarked on a career in the financial services industry with a national mutual fund dealership, where he was responsible for delivery of a coast-to-coast processing solution.
Thereafter, he joined Footprint Software Inc. where he was involved in all aspects of building the company into a worldwide financial services software powerhouse. Part of his role focused upon development of the company's mutual fund processing division. Footprint was acquired by IBM in 1995, and after 2 years, Mr. Poppleton purchased the mutual fund division to create his own company, RPM Technologies.
Today, RPM Technologies is one of the largest providers of software solutions to the mutual fund dealership and wealth management community. With its corporate head office in Toronto, a staff of 120 Software Development, Account Management, Systems Architects, Quality Assurance Controllers, Customer Service Representatives and Sales Professionals supply business and technical expertise to clients across Canada and abroad.
Under Dave's leadership, the company has doubled its revenue each year through continuous ventures into new markets and through aggressive new product development.
Jeff Sherman
Vice President
Jeff Sherman has had a long and focused career in the financial services industry. Over the last decade, Jeff has concentrated on providing leading edge information technology to independent mutual fund dealerships and other financial services companies.
From 1988 to 1997, Jeff was involved in application systems development, product management and the development of standards for the mutual fund industry. Jeff and Dave Poppleton have worked together for many years and have managed RPM's growth from 10 to over 50 large financial institutions-clients.
Today Jeff oversees all activities related to the development of the RPM Open suite of products. Through his in-depth industry expertise and broad technology background, Jeff ensures that RPM products continue to provide clients a competitive processing and client management advantage.
Karin Yorfido
Vice President - Strategic Development
Karin has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services and technology industry. At RPM, Karin is responsible for driving business development in new and existing market segments. With deep product and industry background, Karin's primary area of focus is leading RPM's sales activities in the Banking sector.
Karin also provides executive leadership to RPM's Client Services group. RPM's diverse roster of clients include the largest companies in the Banking, Dealership, Insurance and Government market sectors.
Allan Grossman
Chief Software Engineer
Allan has been involved in the design and development of financial services software for 15 years. Prior to joining RPM Technologies, Allan was a Vice President at Footprint Software Inc. a highly successful, financial services software company specializing in object-oriented financial technologies. Today, Allan is Chief Architect of the RPM Open family of products, and is responsible for evaluating emerging technologies.
Allan has an Electrical Engineering degree from the McGill University and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business.
Mark Van Rassel
Vice President
Mark leads RPM’s sales and business development activities with primary focus on the Dealership and Securities market sectors. Mark has 18 years of financial services experience, including management positions at organizations such as CIBC Mellon and the Canadian Depository for Securities (CDS). Mark’s broad business knowledge in operations, client service and product development allows him to provide business leadership to his clients.
Darren McNaughton
Vice President - Engagements
Darren joined RPM Technologies in 1999, bringing with him more than 14 years of extensive experience in the securities, trust and global custody industries. During this period, Darren occupied senior positions in business analysis, product management, branch management and information technology.
At RPM Technologies, Darren focuses on large scale client implementations and is part of the RPM Sales Team.
Gary Wilkinson
Vice President
Gary is a senior management member of the Client Services Group, engaged in large client implementations. In his role, Gary's responsibilities include planning, implementation and production support at client sites, as well as supporting RPM's sales engagements.
Gary graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Employment Relations. In addition, Gary holds various banking and securities designations. Before joining RPM in 1999 Gary held senior level positions within the banking industry, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at HSBC Securities and Vice President Human Resources at Barclays Bank of Canada.
